One great thing about the Beastie Boys is their ability to keep trying new things with their music. Starting out with punk rock, they ended up tapping into just about every genre out there on all of their albums, in one way or another.
This song, Song for Junior, is an example of a really enjoyable latin jazz groove where they just play and have fun.
I think that Hello Nasty is one of their best albums, because you can't put a finger on the genre; it's as if they just decided to try a little bit of everything on the entire album. They freed their minds, their asses followed, and we all got to enjoy it.
