I always get a kick out of going off on Tom Cruise because he's such a freak, but this movie was actually good, I thought, is spite (or because, in part) of him. The soundtrack is just awesome, though.

Maritza said...: He's a freak alright, but sometimes he's such a great actor. I loved him in Magnolia and especially in "Born on the 4th of July". In the right role, he can have such a powerful presence.; 12:59 PM

Jennifer Wertkin said...: I have to pretend he isn't "him" in order to enjoy his acting. I didn't like Vanilla Sky (crazy woman jealous lover was too hollywood stereotype for me) but have liked other stuff he's done. I just read in that fine publication, People (in my doc's office...of course....) that Nicole didn't need her marriage to Cruise annulled in the eyes of the Catholic Church b/c his being a Scientologist rendered the marriage moot. Whatever. And that's a great soundtrack.
