The death of Syd Barrett, co-founder of Pink Floyd, was announced today.

Some of the most brilliant minds that have walked this earth, in arts or science or any medium, are sometimes the most troubled. That was the case for Barrett.

Shine On, You Crazy Diamond. You will be missed.

Maritza said...: I missed hearing about his death. I read a wonderful book about Pink Floyd called "The Pink Teacup" (or something close to that) and the chapters on Syd Barrett were so sad. Such a misguided, troubled artist.; 8:00 PM
