The Job Interview

This was something a friend turned me on to...
I made something similar to this in a film class several years ago, and I also acted all the parts and shot it, etc... but I didn't go into nearly as much depth with the characters...and it was about auditioning as opposed to the job search/interview.

This guy is amazing - totally hilarious. He's a trip and a half. Thank GOD for YouTube...

NYCTheatre.net

NYCTheatre.net is an interesting and useful resource that has basically collected tons of theatre-related sites, blogs, news, and tidbits from the internet and put them all on one site to search through. It is up to date and well-maintained...you can even get an email address there if you like. Check it out...it's a pretty groovy site for the NYC Theatre monger/actor/actress/general theatre hound.

Like me.

Robin Rice Lichtig and DramaMama.net

Due to the fact that I have been dealing with BPV and Vestibular disorders for the past several months, one part of my life that kind of partially went out the window was my memory. This was also followed by keeping up with my blogs - Voodoo Jive and Ornery Woman.

I had promised Robin Rice Lichtig, a fabulous playwright who has an amazing website that showcases excerpts of her work as well as provides actors and theatregoers with a calendar of events, that I would add her to our blogroll and forgot to do it...

So it is there now, and I ask that any and all women interested in theatre please stop by Robin's website. She is friends with Sportive Tricks and is someone invested in the theatre community.

:)

I know I can't rely on the "I was sick and am taking meds that make me forget shit" excuse for too long, but in this case, it's the truth...lol

Snapvine.com: Voice Comments for Cyber Nuts

OOOooooo

what fun!
You can press play and hear my pre-recorded message and then click on the appropriate thingies to leave me a Voice Comment! What will they think of next?

If you don't want to mess with filling out stuff to join for free (oh, and the phonecall to leave the message is free, too) just call and leave one and it will be anonymous...

Sigh. It's late. I can't sleep...this seems like a fun idea.

It Was A Bloodbath...But I Was Able to Get Tickets to See The Police

I overslept and got online at Ticketmaster at 9:12am (they went onsale at 9am), and by that point almost everything was sold out. I kept trying, kept trying, and kept being told that they couldn't find any tickets...

And then I decided, just for shits and giggles, to try the "Gold Package" to see if any of those were left.

Let me start out by saying that I had to buy tickets that were WAY more than I had originally intended on spending...and my ceiling was originally $250.

But, this is after all, a once in a lifetime opportunity. And apparently, I get some special memorabilia item that won't be available to the rest of the masses. Unless it's a hummer from Sting himself, I don't know if the money was worth it. Eh, of course it is...

Those bastards had better be good.

Sending out an S.O.S....

Whatever. I've been waiting 23 years to see these guys, maybe more...
So, it's worth it.

RIP Anna Nicole Smith

Anna Nicole is dead.

Despite the fact that towards the end she barely had anything to scrape together upstairs to make a spark, there was a fragility to her that made her somewhat endearing...that tragic flaw in many of us women who feel that we are nothing if we don't have the perfect looks...

I feel sorry for her - her loss of her son, being dragged through the mud, all of it - right before she died. Let's face it, sure she married the old guy for his money - but he married her because he wanted a playboy bunny on his arm before he kicked it. It was a business transaction.

I hope they find out what happened...because, as my friend Erica suggested...this whole thing reeks of foul play - somebody killed her. No joke.

RIP, Anna...maybe we'll find some justice...and maybe it wasn't an accident that your son passed, either.

My money is on one of the guys who are battling for custody, or some fat fuck who got really pissed that TrimSpa didn't work.
